Flipped classes

In previous years as a teacher, I've been hearing more and more about flipped classes, that is, creating and sharing podcasts and/or audiovisual materials for your students to review at home and using your classroom time with them to answer questions and develop the contents presented before hand.
Do you have any experience using this technique? Do you have any piece of advice or any caveat to offer? Any ideas that you would like to share?

Welcome to my first blog!

In this my first blog I intend to share with you some of my thoughts, ideas, questions, experiences and emotions that I'm experiencing these days and will experience in this coming year as a new Faculty member at Flint Hill School.
Please, feel free to comment, raise questions, provide answers and share everything and anything that can help me, you, and others reflect about their teaching.
I believe that teaching is something very difficult to simplify and there are no easy answers out there. But I do believe that being a good teacher depends a good deal on your willingness to share with and learn from others.
So let's do this together!
